Fall Snow Day 2013

Well for the second snow of the season we didn’t do too bad. Town has been shut down with a level 3 snow emergency, and absolutely nothing but emergency travel has been permitted. Though the conditions aren’t the worse our town has seen I believe the heavy snow down tree limbs, and the day of rain we received prior has officials concerned about safety later in the day. The kids are enjoying their snow day also. We have some video time going. Games, and a special request has been put in for the all too famous snow day treat, hot chocolate. 

I can’t remember the last time we had a snow day where Conan actually had to shut down shop and come home, but today is the day. Snow always puts me in a creative mood so I have been writing today. Of course I am sure the baking bug will sneak up on me harder than it already has, and I will be forced to bake something later. The kids have been asking for their special gf sugar cookies, so they may just get that wish also.

The dogs aren’t overly fond of the large snow drifts. For the little dogs those snow heaps are like mountains of cold inconvenience  they much prefer their nice warm, cozy beds. I don’t really blame them snow days put me in a cuddly mood also, the kids have thought it funny I sporadically grab them and squeeze on them. 

Both of the girls are running mild fevers, and are being asked to rest away their irritated moods. Today has been much better, but Who-Rae still seems to be overly pouty (every few minutes). Sweet Pea seems to be handling her illness well, but it is sad to see her so exhausted all the time. Brings back memories of her first year, which always weighs heavy on my heart. Thankfully however, this illness has not effected her lungs, and she is just going through the motions of everyday life.
