In my life this week…

The past two weeks have been quite a journey! My sister ended up in the hospitol during christmas, for New Year’s we were on the road visiting Conan’s family, and sadly Conan’s already quite ill Grandmother took an awful fall.

In our homeschooling this week…

The kiddos received fun workbooks for christmas and we enjoyed getting started with fun learning activities that are geared for their particular age groups. These were a great thing packed along with us for our 4 hour road trip. Although we do not do work in the car, they were handy when we needed some calm down time at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…

I am learning that homeschooling as a lifestyle has an unforseen upside for our family. It is quite easy to transition to learning mode when the situation warrants it (like when overstimulated kids and grandparents need a break).

I am inspired by…

Those people who dedicate their time to care for the elderly. Seeing Conan’s family’s current situation certainly made me appreciate how difficult these type of situations trully are for a family.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

We are being home!!!

My favorite thing this week was…

There were a lot of highs and lows these past two weeks. I loved seeing the kids excitement as our family Christmas activities unfolded. I had a great time traveling and getting to visit family despite the stress involved. I appreciated being able to help my sister while she was sick, although having extra children helped me to appreciate my mom-in-law better who raised five kiddos, I was exausted but happy nontheless to do it.

Questions/thoughts I have…

I have been thinking a great deal on the career path I have started chasing. I am home full time with my family now, and am not planning on entering the work force immediatly, but I am working towards a lifelong goal. I have been questioning myself on this over the past couple of weeks.

Things I’m working on…

Gluten free goodies for our home.

I’m reading…

I am back at the school text books, along with the pleasure readers I started a few weeks ago. I took the break time to relax the brain circuits a bit these past two weeks.

I’m cooking…

Porcipine balls, chicken noodle soup, cookies, and sweet potatoes

I’m grateful for…

Friends, I have been enjoying the time I have had with a dear friend of ours, during our irregular coffee nights.

I’m praying for…

Guidance
