This week we celebrated Pumpkins birthday. Conan had a trip to take out of state for work. I finally got in to have a check-up on my wrist, which has been out of sorts for months. The outcome was not wonderful, but hey, progress is something after all.
This week we found that changing our lesson location was enough to get Pumpkin focused again. Having a different place to read, write, and all around learn seemed to actually make him more comfortable.
I think it is easy to loose track of why it is that you do what you do. Taking a moment on occasion to be grateful for your freedom to school your children at home, and to take a moment to recall the many reasons you do so, is both refreshing and motivational.
My cousin. She homeschooled all three of her boys. Two of which she has graduated. She has wonderful, loving boys, who make their grandma beam with pride.
We are not quite going anywhere at present. We look forward to spending time with our family over the holiday break.
Watching my son show off his stuff at Karate. He has really put in an effort to learn and memorize as much as he can in a few weeks, and is doing amazing! It was really a blessing to see his individual efforts pay off, and the smile that it brought him.
Taking more time at things this week has really paid off in end. School has been pleasant and we have accomplished a good amount of work this wee.
Shouldn't there be a bit more snow outside, with how cold it is?
Exercise brings me back to a happier frame of mind. I have been a lot better about adding a bit of exercise each day... and the rewards are wonderful.
Still working on the same readings as last week.
Banana Bread, cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate, soups
Warm fuzzy slippers!
Those poor people effected by this weeks tragedy! Broke my heart in so many ways.
