Blood, Sweat, and Tears

"Writing styles are not easy to come by, they are forged by fire, they are cooled by the tears of ones own eyes, and they are oiled by the authors own blood; sheathing that style is an entirely new level of pain." - Shy willow

Congratulation's Deb!!

Time flies when you are having fun. Between traveling, school, library trips, the occasional house cleaning, appointments, and more traveling it seems as though I have missed an entire month somewhere! So a quick update is in order.

First Congrats to Deb U. for winning last month’s Baltic Amber jewelry give-away! Your necklace should shortly be arriving to your home… let me know what you think!!

We have not quite managed to see any guppy fry survive as of yet, we have added a few fancy guppies to the mix and are still working to provide more hiding spots.

With autumn being my favorite season, I jumped at the first sight of it and got started baking, crocheting, and opening our windows for that sweet crisp autumn breeze.  I have been working up a few new crochet patterns for a few very cool new things and will be posting patterns and pictures soon, but not too soon because they happen to be gifts, so I don’t want to ruin the surprise (which I am terrible with)!!

Our garden was tortured by a light frost while we were off traveling, we were able to save only a few tomatoes and two watermelon when we came back home. Needless to say the turnout this year was underwhelming, but we do have plans in the works for next year. First we will not be relocating our garden next year, second we have had in the works a good size compost pile simmering all summer, and third we will have to start some of our seeds indoors a bit sooner next year. Oh well we had fun non-the-less!

Now to get ready for Hubby’s hunting trip, more school stuff, baking, hopefully some cleaning, lots more crochet, and a much anticipated ladies day with my mommy, darling sister, and soon-to-be sister-in-law (and all those wonderful kiddos)!

Thanks for Stopping By
~Shy Willow
