Blood, Sweat, and Tears

"Writing styles are not easy to come by, they are forged by fire, they are cooled by the tears of ones own eyes, and they are oiled by the authors own blood; sheathing that style is an entirely new level of pain." - Shy willow

Daily Garble 5/13/11

Good afternoon, how is May 12th treating you? This day in 1962 Douglas MacArthur gave his “Duty, honor, country” acceptance speech. Would you like to hear it? There is an audio available here at American Rhetoric’s web site.

I am behind a day on this story however my often overly repressed inner patriot will not allow me to pass up a news story like this! Go visit this video and see how a large crowd of LSU students expressed their freedom of speech to prevent a flag burning yesterday.

Also, here is an interesting and disturbing article written on Syria’s threats on Israel. If you want a bit more detail you can follow the links included in the linked article and read a great deal more.

Your chicken nuggets may be coming from China soon! Are you ready to feed your children a pesticide nugget? Or how about a “filthy” chicken salad?

Thanks for Stopping By
